What food they eat for dessert?

The most typical dessert in England is the pudding.
There are hundreds of variations of sweet puddings in England, but all of them have the same basic ingredients: milk, sugar, eggs, flour and butter and many fresh fruit (raspberries or strawberries), custard, cream, and cakes.

Meals and Meal Times


They have three main meals a day:
  • Breakfast - between 7:00 and 9:00 (bowl of cereals, a slice of toast, organge juice, a cup of coffee, etc.)

  • Lunch - between 12:00 and 1:30 p.m. (sandwiches).

  • Dinner (Supper) - The main meal- between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. (vegetables, roast meat, etc.)

  • Tea - from 5:30 at night to 6:30 p.m.

TRADITIONAL DRINKS IN BRITAIN

Coffee, bitter, wine, beer and tea.

Tea is the most famous drink in Britain. British pepople drink a cup of tea every days.

The traditional way of making tea is:
      • Boil some fresh cold water. (We use an electric kettle to boil water)

      • Put some hot water into the teapot to make it warm.

      • Pour the water away

      • Put one teaspoon of tea-leaves per person, and one extra tea-spoon, into the pot.

      • Pour boiling water onto the tea.

      • Leave for a few minutes.

      • Serve
